One of the benefits of buying Zodiaq Countertops is how incredibly easy they are to maintain and keep looking and feeling new. The quartz that is used in Zodiaq Countertops combined with the high-quality polymers result in a durable, stain, chemical, heat and scratch restistant, nonporous countertop surface. This is not to be confused with ‘proof’, meaning that when you are placing hot or sharp items on your Zodiaq countertop you should still use hot-pots or cutting boards, etc.
Zodiaq can keep it’s beautiful shine and gloss without the need of polishing and because it’s completely nonporous it doesn’t require that you apply sealants or waxes of any kind. If anything does occur to your Zodiaq Countertops then you can take advantage of the ten-year limited warranty offered with them to get them replaced.
You can use basic care to clean the Zodiaq countertop surfaces, which means steps like using a damp cloth or paper towel to remove dust or dirt, and non-abrasive cleaners to remove germs and bacteria. Even those it’s stain-resistant, any liquids should be removed immediately, and liquids like win, tea, juices or soda should be picked up as soon as possible. It’s not even good to leave standing water on your surface. One time it might not do anything, but if you make a habit out of it it can slowly change the look and color of your Zodiaq Countertop.
For any spills that are being stubborn or difficult to remove you should avoid using any cleaners that contain bleach, as it could possibly discolor the quartz. You can use a cleaner recommended by the manufacturer DuPont, which is 3M Scotch-Brite Scrub pads with Formula 409 Glass and Surface cleaner or something similar.
If you get any hard spills, like gum, food, grease, etc you can use a plastic putty knife to gently remove them. Then clean them and wipe them off using the previous cleaning methods.
If you get permanant markers on your quartz countetop you can use a product like Goo-Gone or something similar and rub it into the stain. Use the directions carefully. Do not leave the cleaning products on your quartz for any longr than required.
Avoid using any chemicals near your Zodiaq counters like paint removers, furniture strippers, etc. Also nail polish remover or oil soaps should be kept away if possible as well.
These are all commonly understood things that should not go near your kitchen countertops anyways, but they are good for reference. If you have much experience using other kitchen countertops besides quartz, and specifically Zodiaq, then you will definitely notice how much easier these are to care for and maintain and how long they will last you looking just like the day you had them installed never ceases to amaze.
